Inspiring words Kathleen, as usual. On the eve of Christmas, a time so celebrated by so many, I appreciate so much your thoughts shared with your tribe of listeners. The story of Christmas is itself so inspiring, although in its rendition around the world has mostly lost its way. Thanks also for transporting yourself to the Katadin woods and reminding us again of the beauty that is around us all.

I try to help the spirit of Christmas by sending all my 7 grandchildren a check: 1/3 to save; /3 to spend as they choose; and 1/3 to donate to a charity they see as important to the world. They seem to save 2/3 and pick a new charity each yer, but they love the process of learning but the needs of their world. I have even been sent reading material from them to enlighten me. best to you with the hope that the spirit of this season may work on us all....chuck glassmire
A wonderful Christmas present you give us- far preferable to a whole fleet of those blue trucks. I also feel grief over what has become of us - what we've done with our splendid human potential. But never a sense of individual shame. I can face my holy mountain- its face, my face, both shining andwith my heart and conscience clear.
