The question is, What do we do this week to increase the power of all those irate, terrified citizens who gathered this weekend? What will he do this week to enrage us further? We need to keep calling our legislators--and showing up again and again in our cities and towns AND at their offices. They need to take back the power of Congress.
The next fig event will be April 19 – no Kings! Check in indivisible website for more details. In the meantime, let’s keep building our community and this movement and showing up with love! Together and struggle.
Thank you, as always. I drove down to DC from NJ for the protest. Planned it out and couldn’t have gone more smoothly (63 retired English teacher). Met my two nieces and my nephew who live there. Their father is a devout Trump follower. Hard on them, but he is a kind man and keeps a low profile. It was empowering to see over half of the crowd to be young people, and they were the loudest. Everything happens for a reason, I believe, and we needed a deep shout in the arm. The first one was just the wake up call four years ago.
That is great to hear that the young people were the loudest in DC! It must have been thrilling to be in DC and be there with your nidces and your nephew!
