Another Home Run, Kathleen, out of the ballpark, deep into the “transforming energy’s side!”

Thanks, Stewart! It's amazing how grounding talking with others who are experiencing this same internal shattering is and how that grounding makes action possible.

From your first brilliant image-connection of Alice through the looking glass to your rise-up energy, I am with you, Kathleen. I sure like landing in the bright light of hope. I sure like, and am grateful, for your words that brought us here, and for you.

Thanks Helena!! I am sure I, all of us, will slip and slide and fall again, but knowing how to climb out...not by relying on ourselves but by joining with others is so comforting!! It is one thing to teach about it, another to experience it!! Wow. I am grateful for your support for this writing!!

So relatable . We here in Kennebunk are growing in number and strength. Our Democracy Coop is a bee hive. Being engaged with an active group of resistance is key. 💪

Thank you, Kathleen. Right on! I continue to find community in my Green Team and will be leading with Pastor Sean Patrick a Lenten study of Robin Wall Kimmerer's "The Serviceberry: Abundance and Reciprocity in the Natural World." So much wisdom from indigenous people! Gratitude and reciprocity ground me.

Oh terrific!! The Serviceberry. Such great reading. Abundance and Reciprocity. So alien to the bastards running our country now.

Kathleen's remarks about the feckless Democrats (my word, not hers) are important. I've been working on a post about the Democrats' inability or, perhaps, unwillingness to lead an organized resistance against the attempted destruction of professional service agencies (USAID, Dept. of Education, NOAA, OSHA, the DOJ, Defense, etc.), the subversion of our Constitution, and the transformation of our democracy into a Patrimonial State with a Dear Leader who is mentally deranged. It's slowly dawning on me that they don't know how to do anything except run for office and raise a *$#load of money doing it. For the most part, they are not community leaders. The DNC doesn't do community organizing. They simply don't know how.

So, we can't wait for or expect the Democrats to engage in political leadership, alas. If it's to be, it's up to you and me.

This is a crisis moment. Don't Agonize. Organize. Learn more at /p/orgs-defending-democracy.

Wow, Mike. I am feeling less out on a limb about my dismissal of the Democratic leadership after reading your comment. Your perspective about the DNC not being community leaders and not having the skills to be that feels just right...full of truth that hadn't yet been revealed to us. I couldn't make that link to defending democracy work. Could you resend?
