Kathleen!! I am chills and am on the verge of tears as I finish reading this stunning post-- I am amazed at how you were able to capture the raw, wonder-drenched beauty of that moment with your words! Brava! Truly a feat, and so deeply honored to have been on that blue tarp in that moment of (near) wordless transformation at your side. So happy to be connected in this cosmos, in this corner of the world, and on our shared Fridays of writing and creativity together. Thank you for your beautiful voice and life.

It was a cosmic creative energy force that brought us together on the blue tarp, the connection having started the night before when we learned of all our connections. It's so so so special for me that we shared this moment together. And I have your beautiful voice and your partner's voice and the singing bowl playing inside me too!! Thank you.

You end with such a beautiful prayer, Kathleen! Thank you. My friends who made a similar pilgrimage said the same about unity. It was a lovely experience here in Freeport, too, although it is clear that the difference between 98% and totality is all the difference in the world.

The experience evoked prayer. I thought of you when I wrote the prayer at the end! All the beautiful prayers you have said in your lifetime of holy work.

You are so kind, Michael. I wish the totality had passed over you. I would have loved to read a piece on your experience of the event!

Kathleen- I still remember this like it was yesterday. The totality of it. The brightness of it. Stunning. Your description of it was powerful: “For it is truly a holy moment of transfixion, of rapture.” So beautiful. Thanks for the reminder.
